The address of the Children’s English Library is Etzelstrasse 25-27, 70180 Stuttgart. CEL is located in the Etzel Kinder und Jugendzentrum. As there is no dedicated parking and on-street parking near the library is difficult to find, we recommend you come by public transport. The library is only five minutes’ walk away from the nearest tram stop (“Bopser”) and even closer to the “Falbenhennenstrasse” bus stop. The easiest way to reach CEL is to get on to the U5, U6 or U7 tram (streetcar) at the main railway station, heading out towards Degerloch or Waldau. For full journey details see www.vvs.de . Get off at the stop “Bopser” and, if you don’t have kids in a buggy or pram, head straight up the stairs at the top end of the platform. (If you have a stroller or baby carriage with you, head down the platform where there is a ramp, cross the road at the lights and then go up the hill). At the top of the stairs, you cross the road at the lights, cross over again straight away at the zebra crossing and then head right down the hill for about 250m. You are now on the Etzelstrasse. 50 metres after the driveway heading up to the Jugendfarm Süd, which is on the same premises as the library, you will see a second driveway heading left up to the Etzel Villa – walk up here and turn left in front of the main stairs leading up to the front door of the building. (If the driveway gates should accidentally be locked, the library can be accessed via the Jugendfarm Süd or please phone the library to let us know!) Our rooms are on the ground floor facing the driveway. The door to the library is next to a gate leading to the playground. We hope these directions will be helpful!
